How does SmartLipo work?

SmartLipo is the first laser assisted liposuction procedure that has FDA approval. It is ideal for removing localized fat deposits on the face and body. It utilizes the latest in laser technology that allows our plastic surgeons the capability of precise contouring with little to no recovery time for the patient. This laser assisted procedure is performed using a one millimeter cannula (tube) inserted just beneath the skin. A small laser fiber inside the cannula delivers targeted energy directly to the fat cells allowing the surgeon to suction them away with minimal effort. Simultaneously, the surrounding tissue tightens, resulting in an overall improvement.
